Nato Rejects Suspension Claims as US Tensions Escalate Over Iran
Nato has firmly rejected claims that it could remove or exclude member states, dismissing reports that the United States may attempt to penalise Spain over its failure to endorse military operations against Iran. The alliance's establishment document contains "no clause allowing suspension of Nato membership, or expulsion," a Nato official told the BBC on Wednesday.
